Why Supporting Community Events Matters: His Choice Durham Chapel Hill Proud to Sponsor Project Graduation

At His Choice Durham Chapel Hill, we believe that being part of a community means showing up — not just in our clinic, but throughout our neighborhoods, schools, and local traditions. That’s why we’re proud to be a Cum Laude Sponsor for this year’s Project Graduation with Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS).

Supporting Our Community, Beyond Healthcare

While our day-to-day mission is providing high-quality, patient-centered vasectomy care, our commitment to the community goes much further. Supporting events like Project Graduation is part of how we help build a safer, stronger, and more connected community for everyone.

Project Graduation isn’t just a party — it’s a vital program that offers graduating seniors a safe, drug- and alcohol-free celebration on one of the most memorable nights of their lives. With food, music, a casino, prizes, karaoke, dodgeball, and dancing, it’s a night of fun that keeps our young people safe while they celebrate together. Dr. Zerden’s family is heavily involved in the planning for Project Graduation, including his daughter is one of the co-chairs.

Why Local Sponsorship Matters

Community events like this don’t happen without the support of local businesses, families, and organizations. As a locally owned and operated practice, we know how important it is to invest in programs that enrich the lives of our neighbors and offer positive, healthy experiences for our youth.

When businesses step up to sponsor events like Project Graduation, it sends a powerful message:
✅ We value our young people.
✅ We care about their safety.
✅ We believe in building traditions that bring our community together.

By supporting programs that offer safe, inclusive, and memorable experiences, we help create a healthier, more supportive environment for everyone.

Summer is Also a Great Time for a Vasectomy

While we’re celebrating our graduates, it’s also worth mentioning that summer is one of the best times of year to schedule a vasectomy. Between long weekends, flexible schedules, and vacation days, it’s easier to find time to rest, recover, and catch up on your favorite shows in the A/C. Plus — you’ll want to stay out of the pool and ocean for about 5 days after your procedure, making a lazy, shaded summer afternoon the perfect recovery plan.

At His Choice Durham Chapel Hill, we make the process as simple and convenient as possible with our single-visit, no-needle, minimally invasive vasectomy — no consultation required unless there’s a medical concern. It’s a decision about your future, done on your terms, with a recovery that fits your lifestyle.

We’ve made a real effort to offer appointments throughout the week and at convenient types all throughout the summer. All scheduling is done through this link on our website.

A Message to Our Graduates

To the CHCCS Class of 2025 — congratulations! We’re proud to be part of this milestone moment and wish you a fun, safe, and unforgettable night at Project Graduation. Your future is bright, and we can’t wait to see the incredible things you’ll do. We are so happy to be a sponsor for an alcohol/ substance free celebration for our seniors.

To our fellow community members — we invite you to join us in supporting local events and programs that make a positive impact. Whether it’s through sponsorships, volunteering, or simply showing up, every contribution strengthens the fabric of our community.

At His Choice Durham Chapel Hill, we’ll always be here for our patients — and for our neighbors.
